CEAD Uni Cert in Drawing & Visual Investigation
The Drawing and Visual Investigation programme aims to provide mature students with an opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge of approaches to drawing within contemporary visual art practice. Through workshops and studio based practices, students are encouraged to explore the potential of drawing using a range of materials and techniques. The programme is conceptual and practical; students are introduced to key theories underpinning visual culture and contemporary art practices. Students will be encouraged to respond to project briefs, undertake research, and with the support of lecturers, generate and develop ideas for projects.
The objectives of the programme are to:
- Equip students with research and drawing skills,
- Explore a range of materials and media,
- Select appropriate methods and techniques for use in project work,
- Apply knowledge and skills to an emerging practice,
- Demonstrate a critically reflective approach to learning.
