BA in Applied Art from the School of Fine Art
BA Applied Art
The BA in Applied Art is a level 8, 3- or 4-year, honours degree programme. Students can select to study towards either a BA in Ceramics & Glass or a BA in Textile Art & Artefact. The programme is delivered fulltime over two trimesters per year, from September to June. The programme requires practical and intellectual experiential engagement in relation to inhabiting different and evolving models of art practice. It incorporates Critical Cultures components and a range of professional practice learning challenges and experiences alongside the central studio focus. Students start alongside their colleagues from other Fine Art, Design and Education students in completing the common Year 1 in First Year Studies. There are several joint degrees possible incorporating additional Critical Cultures modules; The BA in Education and Fine Art can be studied specialising in Ceramics & Glass or in Textile Art & Artefact.
