Whether you are an absolute beginner or are currently on a non-credit or accredited programme of study in art or design, CEAD offers progression options for all levels within Higher Education. Our programme runs over summer and autumn and ranges from non-credit for beginners, to advanced, Certificate and Higher Diploma levels.

CEAD Open Day 2023
The annual CEAD Open Day includes presentations on part-time courses and the chance to chat with tutors.

Summer Programme

Higher Diploma in Art
CEAD 2 year part-time Higher Diploma in Art. Applications and portfolio submission for 2023 entry will open mid April.

D+VI Certificate
University Certificate in Drawing and Visual Investigation (D+VI), 1 year part-time, 2 nights per week. A portfolio is not required. Applications for 2023 entry will open late April.

P+DI Certificate
University Certificate in Photography and Digital Imaging (P+DI), 1 year part-time, 2 nights per week. A portfolio is required. Applications and portfolio submission for 2023 entry will open late April.

VAP Certificate A/C Modules
University Certificate in Visual Arts Practice (VAP). 1 to 3 years part-time. VAP modules may be taken on a once off basis for audit or credit. A portfolio is not required. Applications for 2023 new entrants will open in June.

Autumn Non-Credit
