Exchange Programmes

NCAD participates in a number of exchange programmes, including EU programmes. Students interested in participating in an exchange with NCAD should make a formal application through the relevant office in the college in which they are currently studying. NCAD does not accept “Free Movers”.

If accommodation is available, NCAD may facilitate a select number of visiting students from art and design colleges abroad who wish to follow a non-award, self-directed programme of study under tutorial guidance. Such applicants should follow the normal application procedure and are welcome to contact the Admissions Office for advice.

LLP-Erasmus Scheme

The National College of Art and Design participates in the LLP-Erasmus Scheme, and students from partner institutions can apply to spend a period of time in this College on exchange.

We normally accept applicants into 3rd Year of the four-year undergraduate degree path, for a minimum duration of three months from January through to the end of March or beginning of April each year. For further details, please contact the LLP-Erasmus Co-ordinator, Debbie Reddin, at reddind@ncad.ie
