The Library is offering special guided tours at 12.45pm on Monday 8th February, Tuesday 9th February, and Wednesday 10th February. If you would like to join one of these tours, please email library@ncad.ie and state your name, your department, and the tour date of your choice. If you contact us at least one day before the tour, we will be able to provide you with Library notes that relate to your area of study.
More online journals in Education
We are delighted to announce that our range of online journals has been greatly extended by the recent addition of the Routledge, Taylor & Francis education collection. This addition should be of great interest to all education students and staff, as well as members of the College community who wish to keep up to date with current thought and developments in this field. This online collection is accessible both on and off campus through your Athens login.
Viewing the journals
To search the collection (from the Library homepage), you must log on to Athens (Athens Login link on the top right of the screen).
On the Athens homepage, select Informaworld in the My Resources box (scroll down to the bottom of the screen and it is on the left).
Click on the Nat. Coll. of Art & Design link (you will find this towards the top left of screen). From the next screen (College subscriptions) you can browse the journals by title, or enter a subject (e.g. Education), in the Find Publications search box.
From the list, click on any journal title that interests you, then click on the + box before the individual volumes listed to see a list of the issues in the volume. From this list follow the links to view the articles in an individual issue.
You can also carry out subject searches within journals by using the search box under the image of the journal cover (on left of screen).
