School and Community Outreach Programmes

The National College of Art and Design’s Access Programme forms part of the College’s overall commitment and social responsibility to promoting equity of access and opportunity to the NCAD.  The pre-entry programme, made up of a series of linked projects namely Arts Mentoring, Student Shadowing, Access Day and Portfolio Preparation, is designed to provide experiential art and design opportunities of engagement to pupils from both primary and post primary schools that are linked to the college.

NCAD Access have also established a programme of engagement with local community groups through a formal partnership with Fatima Groups United located in the F2 Centre in Rialto and the Digital Hub’s  Community Learning Programme specifically through the Future Creators Project, The Future Cadets Project and the Digital Pathways Programme.  The college supports the work of the Solas After School Project located in St Catherine's Church with mentoring and summer school projects.
