Prof Cert in Creative Learning

The Professional Certificate in Creative Learning explores the transformational power of Creative Learning across different educational modes, models and contexts. The programme will appeal to a wide range of subject specialists: educators at all levels from primary to further and higher education, educational specialists and consultants, and managers and support workers in formal and community-based education, managers in learning & development roles, current and aspiring lecturers, as well as creative and community practitioners.

The programme is designed specifically to recognise the qualities and expertise that the practitioners themselves bring to the module.Collaborative learning is a central feature, fostering an environment that encourages the sharing of creative processes, practices, resources and ideas. Each cohort of creative practitioners will contain a rich mixture of backgrounds, in terms of disciplinary specialisms and personal and professional interests.Drawing upon this richness, the module will create a creative learning pedagogical space to facilitate you as an educator/facilitator to expand on your own extensive experience, knowledge and skills in your creative fields.

The programme understands that learning is a process that takes place across our lives. It is a life-wide and life-long site for growing, producing, sharing and shaping knowledge. It extends beyond formal places of learning, into communities, libraries, museums, nature, workplaces, social & health care and the third age. Learners on this pathway will gain a thorough understanding of creative pedagogies which supports them to forge their position in and around creative education, whilst building a space to form and answer questions relating to their professional or creative practice.
