The Body Project
The Body Project: Do you want to challenge body image ideals and increase your self-confidence? Do you want to assist other students to do this also? If so, please sign up for The Body Project Facilitators Group.
The Body Project is an evidence-based group programme designed to increase body acceptance and body positivity, while decreasing risk factors for the development of eating disorders. Each session builds the skills and knowledge key to resisting societal and cultural pressures of the appearance ideal. The programme provides a forum for students to confront unrealistic and unhealthy appearance goals while developing healthy body image and self-esteem. Research has shown that the Body Project is effective in increasing body satisfaction, while decreasing negative mood, unhealthy dieting and disordered eating.
The programme is run by students for students.
