IF YOU FEEL YOUR DEVICE HAS BEEN COMPROMISED
i.e. lock on screen and message asking for a ransom; colleagues reporting spurious emails from you; etc.
- Disconnect your device from the network (unplug the network cable from back of device; turn off the wireless access point; turn off data or hotspot if tethering)
