ALCID

NCAD Library is a member of the ALCID scheme, which is a co-operative access agreement between Irish academic libraries. The scheme allows access to the collections of participating libraries on production of an ALCID membership card. The card is available to full-time academics, academic-related staff and registered students reading for taught or research Masters and Doctoral degrees. It is not available to undergraduates or students studying for a postgraduate diploma.

An ALCID card entitles the bearer to read-only access to participant libraries - ie you cannot borrow materials from them.

To obtain an ALCID card, please call to the Issue Desk with your Student / Staff ID card, or email libraryloans@staff.ncad.ie

Please note:

Membership of the ALCID scheme is for one year, commencing in October. You must have your NCAD Student ID card with you as well as your ALCID card when you visit another library.

When you visit another library, you will be subject to the regulations of that library. Check library websites for opening hours.
