Graduation November 2021

NCAD Graduation 2021

We are delighted to confirm that the NCAD Graduation Ceremony will take place on Monday 15th November 2021 in the O’Reilly Hall, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4.

The ceremony will run over two sessions,

11am - School of Design & School of Visual Culture

3pm - School of Fine Art and School of Education

It is anticipated each ceremony will last approx 1 hour.

Splitting the ceremony allows us to plan the day in advance regardless of any updates to regulations and with due regard for everyone’s safety.

All graduands will have received an email with full details of the day including which session you will be in. It is important that you respond in order to confirm your attendance or non-attendance.

Each graduand attending the ceremony will be allowed to bring 2 guests. When arriving on the day, we ask graduates to please make their way to the conservatory entrance where they can register, receive their assigned seat number and then collect their pre-booked robes. Your guests should proceed to their seats inside the hall using the main foyer entrance.

If you are unable to attend, your parchment will be posted to you in the weeks following the ceremony. (Please ensure we have the correct address you would like it sent to).

COVID PROTOCOLS FOR THE CEREMONIES:

  • All attendees are required to present an EU Digital COVID-19 Certificate or HSE / NHS proof of full Covid-19 Vaccination or recent recovery certificate, along with ID.
  • A negative PCR or antigen test is NOT accepted for entry as per current Government rules.
  • Masks or appropriate face coverings must be worn by patrons at all times in The O'Reilly Hall. (Graduates can remove their mask when crossing the stage to receive their parchment)
  • It is likely that patrons from other groups will be sitting in seats next to you however all adults in attendance will have met vaccination entry criteria
  • We advise patrons to allow additional entry time when planning their visit due to proof of vaccination checks at venue entrance.

Please note that if you arrive at the O’Reilly Hall and you are unable to provide a Covid vaccination certificate or proof of immunity, you will not be admitted to the Graduation Ceremony. This will also apply to your guests on the day.

If you or any of your guests are displaying any symptoms of Covid19 or are feeling unwell leading up to the Graduation we would ask that you please not attend the Graduation Ceremony.

We hope you find this information helpful in making your conferring ceremony an enjoyable and memorable occasion for you and your guests.

If you have any queries relating to the conferring ceremony, please email:  academicaffairs@staff.ncad.ie

We very much look forward to seeing you on the day and celebrating your achievements.
