Seed share / Space Permaculture

NCAD FIELD. Wednesday 8 March. Space Permaculture seed sharing event with Zack Denfield of the Center for Genomic Gastronomy

NCAD FIELD. SEED SHARE  EVENT / SPACE PERMACULTURE

Wednesday 8 March, 11.20am. NCAD

We in NCAD FIELD very much looking forward to hosting you next Wednesday for the Space Permaculture seed sharing event with Zack Denfield of the Center for Genomic Gastronomy. We are looking for good homes to re-terrestrialise plant varieties used in international space programmes.

We will have representatives of growing groups including from Oliver Bond Flats, SICCDA, Bridgefoot Street and Flanagans Field (TBC) in attendance. These will join NCAD FIELD students and staff for what should be lively and compelling interaction.

The plan is to meet in Grey Square / under NCAD's arch at 11.20am on Wednesday March 8th.

- We will take a moment for each grouping to introduce themselves.

- We will then proceed to the Orpen Lecture room where Zack will introduce the Centers work and the Space Permaculture project specifically. Zack is in Ireland as part of the Butler Gallery's SOIL PROJECT. Follow up collaboration will hopefully flow from this culminating in a July feast!

- We will then go to NCAD FIELD for the seed sharing event. This is primarily about the space seeds going into interested green fingered hands, but also, feel free to bring other interesting varieties with you to share with between groups! (we hope this event might institute seedsharing between us as an annual Spring event).
