Primary School Access Week

Over 600 primary school children visited NCAD and had the opportunity to visit the Graduate Exhibition as part of primary school access week from 15-19 June.

A small team of experienced NCAD students mediated the exhibition and, whenever possible, student artists spoke to the children about their work and the processes involved.

This is the first year that the primary school access module was embedded in the Education Fine Art/Design Year 1 course.  Students who took this stream presented their work to the 200 primary school pupils and teachers from eight of the participating primary schools.  Following a successful presentation and refreshments for everyone the children and their teachers visited the graduate show.
