NCAD is hosting an online workshop for candidates interested in applying to 2023/24 Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarships & Postdoctoral Fellowships in the fields of art, design, art education and visual culture.

IRC postgraduate schemes offer funded Masters by Research and PhD positions, including coverage of fees, a stipend and annual research expenses. IRC postdoctoral schemes offer an annual postdoc salary and a stipend for research expenses.

The workshop will provide an overview of:

- Key parameters for each scheme - eligibility requirements and necessary documents, benefits, deadlines, supervisor/mentor requirements

- Advice on preparing your application & pitfalls to avoid

- The research environment at NCAD and representing this within research proposals

- Using the IRC online grants submission system

This workshop is open to all, including current NCAD students and anyone interested in pursuing an MRes, PhD or postdoc at NCAD starting in September 2024. Workshop attendees will have the opportunity following the session to sign up for 1-on-1 consultations with NCAD's Research Office to discuss questions related to their individual application, and to avail of a proposal review service prior to making their submission.
