NCAD and The Dean Art Studios are delighted to announce the launch of the DAS Graduate Residency Award for the second year. This award will offer a graduating Fine Art Student access to a studio space located in The Dean Art Studio's premises on Chatham Row, Dublin 2, for one year beginning in November 2023.

The studio building is fully funded by Press Up Hospitality Group and incorporates functional studio spaces for creatives spanning Painting, Print, Sculpture, Photography, Music and beyond.

Last year’s winner Carl Hickey, said, “Being a part of The Dean Art Studios has allowed me to work in the heart of the city, amongst other creatives. Being awarded this residency allowed me to continue working immediately after my degree was completed which was crucial in keeping the momentum of making paintings up.”

The Dean Art Studios also facilitates an art residency for IMMA, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and are also in partnership with the Scoop Foundation for artists with refugee status, bringing a much-needed cultural cooperation into the city.
