Last Friday, NCAD hosted its first NCAD WORKS: Alumni Summer Party, welcoming alumni, graduates, partners, and friends for an evening of networking and celebration
Last Friday evening, NCAD's Main Square hosted our first NCAD WORKS: Alumni Summer Party. From 6 pm to 8 pm, we welcomed back alumni alongside graduating students, Studio+ partners, and friends for an evening of networking and celebration.
This event was part of our new NCAD Alumni Connectivity Series, which aims to bring together our creative community and strengthen connections between current students and graduates. It was great to see how naturally conversations flowed between different generations of NCAD talent.
The party coincided with our NCAD WORKS graduate exhibition, giving everyone a chance to see the impressive work on display. Our 2025 graduates had the opportunity to chat with alumni and learn from their experiences, whilst alumni could catch up with old friends and meet new faces from the NCAD community.
Many alumni enjoyed returning to campus and exploring the graduate showcase, where they saw firsthand the creativity and skill of our latest cohort.
Building networks
What stood out was how easily graduates and alumni connected with one another. New graduates were keen to hear career advice and insights, whilst established professionals were interested in learning about fresh ideas and current trends. Our Studio+ partners and employers also joined these conversations, offering valuable industry perspectives and potential opportunities for recent graduates. These kinds of authentic exchanges are exactly what we hoped to achieve with our Alumni Connectivity Series.
Moving forward
The positive response to our first NCAD WORKS: Alumni Summer Party shows there is real value in bringing our community together in person, and we are already planning future events.
