Forge Design Forum creates alliances between product designers and Irish manufacturers

Forge is an exciting one day design forum which offers a platform for product designers and Irish manufacturers to collaborate.

Forge takes place on 2nd November from 9.30-6pm in the Coach House, Dublin Castle.

Forge aims to establish clear routes to market for product designers by capitalising on existing Irish manufacturing bases leading to mutually beneficial relationships and subsequent economic growth. The Forge team want to make it possible for our talented product designers to remain in Ireland after they graduate. Irish product designers from both home and abroad will share their journey, along with insights on how design can bring value and benefits to any business. Many of the speakers are in fact NCAD graduates highlighting the home-grown talent we have here in this college. Derek McGarry, Head of Design Innovation and Commercialisation at NCAD will speak about the new design and innovation commercialisation support ‘Origin8’

which is an invaluable resource for graduates trying to make the leap from academia and industry. Forge Design Forum is kindly supported by The National College of Art and Design. Early bird tickets cost €50 until 31st October 2013 and €75 thereafter. Places are limited so early booking is recommended. Tickets on sale now from www.forgedublin.ie
