Arts Mentoring Exhibition

Second year Art/Design and Education students completed the Arts Mentoring Project in twelve secondary schools linked to the NCAD Access Programme.

The project took place after school for six weeks.  Students introduced mind-mapping techniques, visual research and new materials to assist their pupils to develop their project themes, which included ‘Memory and Perception’, ‘Wearable Structures’ and ‘Body Space and Movement’.  Artwork from each school was exhibited in the School of Education on the 23rd April and the event was well attended by pupils and their families, art teachers and school principals.
