A public workshop as part of the exhibition The Re-appropriation of Sensuality organised by NCAD Gallery, Dublin

Friday 27 November 4.30pm - 8.30pm
NIVAL Reading Room, NCAD, 100 Thomas Street, Dublin 8

Meeting in NCAD Gallery at 4.30pm for a workshop preamble through the exhibition The Re-appropriation of Sensuality with artist Emma Haugh.

Reading at the crisscross contradictions of, and unlikely intersections in the work of Adolf Loos, Kathy Acker, Hakim Bey and Grace Jones.

This short, intense Reading Troupe workshop designed and delivered by artist Emma Haugh will take a discursive montaging format. The workshop brings together fragments in a collaged reading of Ornament and Crime by Adolf Loos, Against Ordinary Language, the language of the Body by Kathy Acker, The Psychotopography of Everyday Life by Hakim Bey and Grace Jones by Grace Jones.

Reading Troupe #06 is free, booking is essential and places are limited. To book a place contact Anne Kelly, NCAD Gallery Programme Curator; gallery@staff.ncad.ie

All materials will be provided.

As part of the public programme accompanying artist Emma Haugh's The Re-appropriation of Sensuality exhibition, Reading Troupe #06 is supported by NIVAL (National Irish Visual Arts Library), organised by the NCAD Gallery, made possible through an ongoing NCAD Gallery collegial collaboration initiative.
