Irish Printmakers in the Age of Digital Reproduction, paper and exhibition, 2022/2023

This academic paper which explores the impact of digital technologies on traditional Fine Art Print was selected for IMPACT International Print Conference. I presented this paper at UWE Bristol in September 2022 in advance of its publication and was later invited to present it at Ulster University. The artists featured in this paper were also the focus of exhibition Oscillation, my curatorial debut, which took place at Graphic Studio Gallery in 2023. This body of research was also the basis of Pixel to Print, a feature that I wrote for printmaking journal Pressing Matters.

Μηδέv / Oὐδέν by Dimitra Xidous, 2021

I created a collection of new works entitled New Geometries for both the cover and interior of writer Dimitra Xidous’ second collection, published by Doire Press. My writings on the collaborative process were also included in literary magazine The Honest Ulsterman.

Mason, Hayes and Curran, commission, 2019

I was selected to create four original prints for this law firm, 850 of which were then printed and given as corporate gifts to their clients.

A Matter of Volume, School of Chemistry, Trinity College Dublin, 2019

I was commissioned to make new work responding to the work of Trinity College’s chemistry department in 2019. I was invited by staff and PhD students to visit various labs as part of my research project. The resulting etching, entitled A Matter of Volume was inspired by the department’s electron microscopes and wide range of glassware and is now included in TCD permanent collection. I was invited to give a short lecture at the unveiling of new works at the department in 2019.

Etching in Memoriam, film, 8 min 58secs, 2019

The school of English at NUI Maynooth commissioned exhibition Form Ever Follows Function at their Illuminations gallery space. I was an invited artist at this exhibition which featured both text and digital art works. The short film Etching in Memoriam, created in collaboration with film maker Fiona Brennan formed my contribution to the show. The film was later screened at The National Gallery of Ireland as part of their Marking their Mark exhibition programme.

The Pickled Body, Issue 1 and Issue 4.1, 2013 and 2018 respectively

I was invited to be the featured artist for online poetry journal The Pickled Body’s first edition entitled The Red Shoes. I was invited to contribute once again for Issue 4.1 The View From Here/From Here the View. All featured artwork was later displayed at NUI Maynooth as part of their Form Ever Follows Function exhibition.
