Oliver Whelan is a multi media artist working from Dublin. His particular research activities are founded in art and science with a specific interests in quantum physics.

He has also exhibited at the contemporary art museum Zamosc, Poland 2015.

Curated Shows

Curator and comittee member of Living Art Exhibition's.Dublin.

Curated an exhibition at the Web Summit Dublin 2014.

Over the twenty years working as an artist, Oliver has received a number of major awards.

One of which was the Australian European award, which covered a study period of one year extensive travel in Australia.

As part of the scholarship Oliver spent time living with Aborigonal tribes of the Northern territory.

In conclusion of the residency Oliver exhibited a body of work at the R.M.I.T Gallery Melbourne.

He has also received awards from Richard Demarco, for travel throughout Europe culminating with an exhibition in The fruit market Gallery,Edinbourgh.

Also Department of Foreign Affairs exhibition awards, with a number of other travel, exhibition and Bursary awards.

Oliver was a founder member of the first Artist studio / complex in Ireland.

He has also been a committee member of the Irish Exhibition of living Art, one of Irelands Premier Exhibitions.

He was also a Board member and Chairperson of CIRCA, an Irish and International arts Magazine.

Conference / Symposium Papers:

Oliver has contributed two pages to “The Great Book of Ireland”.

In 2002 Oliver gave a lecture on his practice at a symposium. Art in the digital world. Tate gallery, London 2002/2003.
