Biography
Lecturer in SEN, Psychology, teaching Methodology, Professional Practice and Curriculum Studies. Director of School Placement and School Placement Tutor. Experienced third level lecturer with particular experience integrating knowledge and practice in the area of teacher education. Masters and PhD supervisor. Honorary Senior Lecturer in University College London Institute of Education 2016-17, researching inclusive practice. Has published, presented and acted as a reviewer internationally.

Worked with Dr Joseph Mintz in UCL IoE Analyzing data using Nvivo on the process of designing an app for use with children with autism.
Research Statement
The School of Education NCAD is committed to providing the highest quality Art & Design teacher education to meet the developing needs of the Irish post primary-school system within the context of the wider educational continuum. Research is focused on improving school based practice and Art Education in general. My research focuses on integrating theory and practice particularly in the area of teacher education and SEN. Research aims to improve best practice in schools and the education of reflective practitioners committed to life-long learning. Current research explores and contrasts the role of the cooperating teacher in Ireland and internationally.
