Andrew Campbell

Specialist in printed textile/ surface design with extensive design experience within the industry having worked in the UK / USA and Asia in design, design direction and textile production. Interested in exploring new approaches towards image development and technology to explore contemporary design approaches.


In the 80s and 90s I have worked as a designer with companies such as Tootal , Timney Fowler in the UK as well as with design production houses in Hong Kong designing and organizing production for Calvin Klein, DKNY, The Express Group, Esprit, and Victoria Secrets. In the late 90s I worked freelance and produced textile print collections as well as being a design agent for other designers to sell designs in New York and London to a wide range of fashion companies. I have undertaken visiting lecturer roles in Hong Kong Polytechnic, Chelsea College of Art and design, Edinburgh College or Art and Falmouth University. Current role; Lecturer in Textile Surface design NCAD.
Continued practice:- Painting / Digital and screen print  design for fashion and interiors / Design consultancy and Community Arts Projects.


Design Projects in NCAD has enabled links with industry partners such as Brown Thomas, Tigerprint UK Cards and Stationery. Individual design consultancy work: eg Mater Hospital textiles project.
