Student Success - Kate Dennehy

Congratulations to final year student Kate Dennehy (Dept. Communication Design), who has been shortlisted in the Moving Image Category of the Royal Society of Art Student Design Awards 2019.

Final year student Kate Dennehy (Dept. Communication Design) has been shortlisted in the Moving Image Category of the Royal Society of Art Student Design Awards, where she tackled the 'Living and Dying Well' Brief. The RSA Student Design Awards is a global curriculum and competition for emerging designers that’s been running since 1924. They challenge students and recent graduates to tackle pressing social, environmental and economic issues through design thinking.

The 'Living and Dying Well' Brief asked students to conceive and produce an animation to clarify and illuminate the audio content provided, which explores why talking about illness and planning for death is important for people affected by serious health conditions.

Kate's shortlisted piece can be viewed here: https://vimeo.com/323488451 — It is one of only six shortlisted internationally. The winner will be decided through an interview/presentation on Tuesday 30th April at the RSA, 8 John Adam Street, London WC2N 6EZ.

Well done Kate!
