Statement

My installation practice to date has centred on referencing insecure, uncertain spaces between one defined point and another, in particular between the self and other and between private and public space. What is the proximity of the self to its voice? Where does the self end and the other begin? What is this space that occurs between both points? Who experiences this in-between space? How do we measure it? Is fixed or in flux? How do we describe it? Each of the installation works has sought to occupy such a space and embody some experience of it, and to describe its intangibility in physical, sensory and psychological term
