My work has moved from representation and figurative forms into more abstract interpretations of emotions, boundaries and memory. My most recent work in clay investigates selective expierences filtered and stored in the memory. My aim is to investigate and distill ideas into forms that reference various sources and engage the viewer in a way that is reflective and unsentimental.
The large scale work for public buildings is site specific. I try to connect both with the function of the building and the relationship to the space in which work is located.
I work in both clay and plaster, using a range of techniques, handbuilding, pressmoulding, slipcasting, carving and plastercasting
