1. How many DVD or video titles can I borrow?
All users can borrow up to three items at a time.
2. How long can I keep DVD titles?
All users can borrow materials for one week, with the chance to renew the loan for one more week.
3. What are your opening hours?
We are open 9.30 am to 1 pm, and 2 to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
4. Can I borrow DVDs outside opening hours?
Yes – issue desk staff will let you into the Visual Resources Centre. You can take DVDs from the shelves, and the staff at the main issue desk will issue them to you.
5. What kind of training can I receive in the Visual Resources Centre?
We are happy to offer traning on how to use all our services: searching for DVDs on the library catalogue, our image databases ARTstor and the NCAD Image Library, presentation software such as Powerpoint, Keynote and the ARTstor OIV, and Zotero citation software.
6. Do I need to make an appointment to receive image database training?
You only need to come into the Visual Resources Centre, and we will give you a 15-minute introduction to our image libraries on the spot, or with very little waiting time.
7. How can I make suggestions about films to buy for the collection?
You can fill in our suggestions form online, you canleave a note in the Library's suggestion box, or you can come into the Visual Resources Cenre and talk to staff there in person.
