About Us

The Visual Resources Centre is situated in the Granary building within the NCAD Library and is open daily, 9.30-13.00 and 14.00-17.30 during term time.

The Centre holds a collection of digital resources, DVDs, CD-Rom, VHS tapes and slides for educational use within the college. We subscribe to the Artstor Digital Library, a collection of over one million images available for research and pedagogical purposes, and we are also developing the NCAD image library.

NCAD lecturers can order images to be digitized for lectures by contacting the Visual Resources Centre staff. We are available for consultation on all issues related to finding art/design images and information in the collection or on the web.

Staff and students can come in for one-on-one training sessions on using ARTstor, the NCAD Image Library, presentation software and citation software without prior appointment.
