The Visual Resources Centre is in the Granary building within the Edward Murphy Library and is open daily during term time.
The Centre holds a collection of digital resources, DVDs, and CD-Rom.
We subscribe to the Artstor Digital Library, a collection of over one million images available for research and pedagogical purposes.
You can now avail of the services listed below in the Visual Resources Centre. These sessions are available Monday – Thursday 10am - 5pm and can be pre-booked for both one-to-one sessions, or in groups of up to three persons. Each session should take approximately 30 - 40 mins depending on your individual needs.
Introduction to Arstor
Logging into Artstor, searching for images, saving images into groups, downloading images, making Powerpoint presentations (optional) and understanding the metadata provided with each image. Also an intro to basic Photoshop skills (optional).
Introduction to citation software Zotero
Downloading the free software, set- up, saving references and file management within the Zotero program.
Citation Help and File Management
On-going advice and assistance given on citing books, articles and images; as well as basic file management for all of your college projects, on your personal computer.

NCAD academic staff can also order images to be digitized for lectures by contacting the Visual Resources Centre staff.
