Aims
Electronic Resources
- To provide Library users with on-site access to art and design journal databases. Click here for database links.
- To provide students with support in using the databases through group learning sessions. (Sessions are requested by NCAD tutors and presented by the staff in this area).
- To provide Library users with one-to-one support in using the Library OPAC and databases.
- To provide DVD viewing facilities for DVDs held by the Library’s Visual Resources Centre.
Language Learning
- To provide a wide range of language learning materials suitable for independent study.
- To acquire, where possible, language learning materials requested by NCAD students and staff.
- To provide borrowing facilities for language learning materials and advice on the selection of materials.
Books and Theses
- To provide information on new titles acquired by the Library. Click here to see the current new books list.

User and Loan Records
- To provide information on Library user records.
- To provide information on overdue Library loans.
Other services
- To provide students and staff with advice on visiting other academic and research libraries.
- To provide access to careers information.
Location
The Language Centre is located in the main Library reading room. Language classes are held in the Visual Culture Faculty, Harry Clarke Building.
Opening Hours
The Language Centre is open daily, Monday to Friday, from 9.30am - 1.00pm and from 2.00pm - 5.00pm.
