Connecting a Windows 2000 or Windows XP computer
    
   
Please note: Screenshots may not match the text in all places, follow the text.
    
         
           
  A.   Double click on the wireless computer icon (with red X through it) on the bottom right of desktop    
           
         
           
  B.   Left click on "Change advanced settings"    
           
         
           
  C.   On the window that pops up click on the "Wireless Networks" tab    
           
         
           
  D.   Highlight (by clicking on it) the NCAD network. Please note that if the NCAD network isn't listed you will have to add it by clicking on the Add button    
  E.   Once you have the NCAD network highlighted you now need to click on the properties button    
           
         
           
  F.   Under Authentication ensure that WPA2 is selected from the drop down list    
  G.   Under Data Encryption ensure that AES is selected from drop down list    
  H.   Next click on the Authentication tab    
           
         
           
  I.   Under EAP type please ensure that (PEAP) is selected    
  J.1   Ensure that the box "Authenticate as computer...." has no tick in it    
  J.2   Click on the Properties button    
           
         
           
  K.   Ensure there is nothing in the checkbox for "Validate server certificate"    
  L.   Ensure Secured password (EAP-,,,,,,,,) is selected for Authentication medthod    
  M.   Clcik on Configure button    
           
         
           
  N.   Ensure there is nothing in the checkbox for "automatically use my windows logon......"    
  O.   Clcik OK    
           
         
           
  P.   Click OK until your back at the window above.
Click on "View Wireless Networks" button. 		   
           
         
           
  Q.   Select the wireless network you wish to join    
  R.   Click the Connect button to join the network you selected in Q above    
           
         
           
  S.   Windows will now try to connect to the network    
           
         
           
  T.   After you hit connect you should notice a yellow balloon on the bottom right of your desktop asking you for additional information.
Click on this balloon		    
           
         
           
  U.   Please enter your username - provided to you in SMS text message from IT Support    
  V.   Please enter your password - provided to you in SMS text message from IT Support    
  W.   Finally click OK    
      You should now be logged on to the desired wireless network and should be able to browse the web
