Andrew Travers
Any time I travel with friends I like to record the things I see and do that particularly interest me. I take photographs. I keep a written diary.
I have used my 4 day trip to Liverpool as a source to make a music album. Using my written diary, I narrated my diary of events to funky beats an melodies. Each event in my diary evolved into a particular song. The imagery feeds into the narrative, it also feeds into the music. Music can illustrated a narrative, and it becomes more than words. It becomes a rhythm, a melody, an emotion. This album is about discovering a city. It’s about food, drink, art, culture, football, people, journeys, but most of all its about my friends.
