Reflection
"Through the acquirement of knowledge, experiences and my personal maturation, I have developed my skills as both an artist and a teacher over the last four years. I have applied my teaching skills to the management of my artwork and with the same level of seriousness I have learned an immense amount about both myself, and my art. The necessary confidence one needs to be successful in such a field has been instilled and I have reinforced my own ambition and need to become a successful teacher."
Studio Practice
"Inspired by the children I cared for from the Russian, Chernobyl fallout region, I decided to probe local areas of deprivation where society is failing in its attempt to care for itself. My ambition was to create strong, yet simple compositions to convey my emotional link to the subject with my own personal use of abstracted imagery. My palette will be as subtle and refined as my concept in order to relate to the sensitivity of the subject matter."
