Interviews
Selected applicants are normally interviewed in late April/early May. If applicants apply for more than one course, they should note that it is not always possible to arrange interviews for their different course choices to take place on the same day.
Portfolios
Applicants for Year 2 must bring their portfolio of work with them to interview – it must not be submitted in advance. The portfolio should contain a balanced selection of work including drawing, painting, design and three-dimensional work. It should show evidence of skills and creativity. Applicants are also required to bring sketchbooks, notebooks and examples of written work in the history and appreciation of art and design to interview. Photographs or slides of three- dimensional and very large works may be included.
Notification of Result of Interview
All applicants who attend for inter- view are notified of the result of their interview in June. Applicants who are successful at the interview stage are offered a provisional place on condition that they meet the College regulations for entry. Documentary proof of examinations passed will be required for verification before a place offer is confirmed.
Transfer Applicants
The application procedure for transfer applicants is as for entry to Year 2 except interviews are normally held in June.
